GOAL! Fulham 0-1 Bournemouth (Solanke 2)

Hello! Dominic Solanke, who has been in fine form of late, has put Bournemouth ahead at Craven Cottage. It was a fine goal, sidefooting into the roof of the net after a neat one-two with Philip Billing. If Bournemouth win today, they’ll move to sixth in the table. Gary O’Neil is doing a helluva job.

Ten minutes to kick off

Excited? You betcha.

Leicester 0-0 Crystal Palace

Here’s Ben Fisher’s report on a thriller at the King Power Stadium.

WSL Ten-woman West Ham have won 2-1 at Aston Villa, for whom Alisha Lehmann missed a penalty. That’s a terrific result for West Ham, which lifts them to sixth in the peculiarly drawless table.

Rotherham have beaten Huddersfield 2-1 at the New York Stadium, with Georgie Kelly scoring the winner. And third-placed QPR, who are level on points with the leaders, have lost 3-1 at Luton.

Scotlandwatch “After back to back home wins against Aberdeen and Hibs, Scotland’s form team Dundee United will be looking to make it three wins in a row at Ross County today,” writes Dundee United fan Simon McMahon. “After being winless and rock bottom of the league a week ago, United could conceivably end the day in ninth place, only two points from the top six, and just six behind Hibs in third. Or we could lose and end up bottom again. Your guess is as good as mine. Today’s other SPL games are Celtic v Hibs, St. Mirren v Kilmarnock and Livingston v St. Johnstone.”

Full time: Leicester 0-0 Crystal Palace

The early game at the King Power Stadium has finished. If you don’t want know the score, DON’T GO ON THE INTERNET.

It’s another frustrating day for Leicester, though a second clean sheet in three games will please Brendan Rodgers.

The last top-flight meeting between Wolves and Forest was in March 1984, when the bottom club did serious damage to Forest’s title challenge with an unlikely 1-0 win at Molineux.

Wolves v Nottingham Forest team news

“Wrexham’s FA Cup battle v Blyth Spartans is scoreless entering half time,” writes Mary Waltz. “Yes, it is being televised live here in the States. Amazing what a documentary can produce.”

That must be a contender for the most unlikely televised game ever, just behind the Craggy Island All Priests Over-75s five-a-side Indoor Football Challenge Match.

The Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of breaching his bail conditions.

“Greater Manchester police are aware of an allegation regarding a 21-year-old man breaching his bail conditions and an arrest has been made on Saturday 15 October 2022,” a statement read. “Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”

WSL latest There’s one WSL match today: Aston Villa v West Ham at the Bescot Stadium. West Ham lead 2-0 after 50 minutes through Dagny Brynjarsdottir and Honoka Hayashi.

Meanwhile, in Paris

There are a couple of early games in the Championship. It’s half-time at Kenilworth Road, where Luton lead third-placed QPR 1-0 thanks to a goal from Elijah Adebayo, and at the New York Stadium. Rotherham 1-1 Huddersfield is the score in that one, Danny Ward having equalised for Huddersfield after a goal from Conor Washington.

Live scores

The clockwatch is a one-man operation, and a shell of a man at that, so it’s impossible to announce all the goals as they go in. Happily, this handy live scores page will keep you abreast of all the games.

The bottom club Leicester are playing Crystal Palace in the early game. Scott Murray is watching that one.

Hello and welcome to another super soaraway Saturday clockwatch. For a number of reasons, there are only two 3pm games in the Premier League, with all the promoted clubs in action. Fulham play Bournemouth in a mid-table meeting at Craven Cottage, and Nottingham Forest visit managerless Wolves. A win for either team, or a draw for Wolves, would take them out of the bottom three.

There’s plenty going on elsewhere, including the Championship leaders Sheffield United at home to Blackpool and a whole heap of games in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round. We’ll have team news shortly.
